Ms. Rebecca Bohannon Groves, affectionately known as Becky to family and friends, passed away at 5:15am Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Life Care Center of Sparta, Tennessee.Becky was born October 13, 1933 in the Eastland Community in White County. She was one of 13 children born to the late James Franklin Bohannon and Beulah Dunn Bohannon. Becky graduated from White County High School in 1952 she went on to work at Rich Swartz in Nashville as well as WSMT, Mallory Controls for 25 years, and later working for her good friend Gloria Judd Adcock at Big J Jewelry. Becky Loved to cook, host dinner parties, and loved to collect Hummingbird figurines. Becky always had an eye for fashion and if you knew Becky, you knew she loved her Red Lipstick and Red fingernails, she even acquired the nickname "Revlon Red." Becky was a Member of the Findlay United Methodist Church, a member of the Red Hat Club, as well as the Sparta Women's Renaissance Club.In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by brothers Rufus, Quill, Archie, James, George, Leslie, Lewis and Harry; sisters Beulah McMahan, Nannie Cook and Mary Ann Bohannon.Survivors include several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Great Nephews, and one sister-in-Law Beverly BohannonServices will be conducted at the Sparta First United Methodist Church with burial in Eastland Cemetery. Ken Wallace and Bro. Hyeon Hong will officiate.William Franklin Bohannon, Brock Cooper, Greg Bohannon, Mike White, Corey Sunday and Todd Bohannon will serve pallbearers.
