BREWSTER - Cora Mae Abner, 94, a 41-year resident of Chelan, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 1995, in Harmony House Convalescent Center in Brewster.
She was born May 7, 1901, to William and Laura (Clark) Long at Aurora, Ark. She attended school in Pettigrew, Ark.
She married Fred Abner on Jan. 26, 1919, at Dutton, Ark. They began coming to North Central Washington seasonally in the 1940s and moved to Chelan in 1954.
Mrs. Abner was employed seasonally with Beebe and Trout Inc. until retiring in 1976.
Survivors include four daughters, Helen Calloway of Athena, Ore., Ruth Robinson of Magazine, Ark., Unice "Babe" Medley of Pomona, Calif., and Wilma Conley of Cashmere; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 21, 1971, and a daughter.
