Edith Hade

Edith F. (Charman) Hade of Kingston passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, Jan 23rd, at 1:33 p.m. of a longtime illness.

Born in Kent, England, in 1935, to Hilda and William Charman, Edith immigrated to the United States in 1958 and lived many years on Long Island, New York.

She moved to Washington in 1987. She had a great love for the beauty of Washington.

She had a way of brightening up a room when she entered.

She will be truly missed by her family and many close friends.

She is survived by 6 children, Joseph Hade of Shelton, Wa, Donna Galloway of Woodbine, GA, Teresa Curcio of Kingston, WA, Sharon Hade of St. Mary's, GA, Raymond Hade of Woodbine, GA and Allison Murray of Folkston, GA; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Also 2 sisters, Doreen Costen and Gladys Charman of Kent, England; as well as 1 brother, Leonard Charman of Lancs, England.
She is also survived by her beloved cat, "Master Ming".
Memorial Service will be today, Jan 26, 2008, at 1:30 in the afternoon at St. Paul's Church in Port Gamble.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Breast Cancer Society in Edith's name.

I worked with Edith for several years.
She may have been a small, slender woman but that hid her deep inner strengh.
She was a sweet soul but if she thought something was wrong or someone was being mis-treated, she was a fighter.
She was my shoulder to cry on and I appreciated her more than she knew.
She LOVED Toby Keith and from now on whenever I hear 1 of his songs, I'll think of her & smile.

* Cremated: ashes given to family*
** I listed her in this cemetery so her family/ friends could find her on this site**

**UPDATE**
Her daughter, Teresa (who works for my vet) Told me Ediths' cat "Master Ming" died within 3 months of her passing. The cat was in perfect health. Teresa told me "Mom just took him with her."
