Thomas Eugene Briggs formerly of the Lock Haven area died August 8, 2010 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the age of 81 years. He served in Germany while in the Army. He was a member of the Teamsters for 25 years and retired from St. Johnsbury Trucking Company. He was a loving and caring father who enjoyed vacationing with his family as well as golfing with family and friends. Thomas married Elizabeth Wadsworth and celebrated 53 years of marriage. She presently resides in Londonderry, New Hampshire. He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Nix of Madbury, NH; sons, Thomas (Debra) Briggs of Manchester, NH and James (Kay) Briggs of Geismar, LA; a daughter-in-law, Judy Briggs of Mill Hall, PA; a sister, Elsie Duck of Mill Hall, PA; seven grandsons and two great grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Briggs; parents Roy and Bertha Briggs and brother, Russell Briggs. A memorial service will be held at the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences can be made at www.yost-gedonfuneralhome.com
