She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two daughters and two sons; Mrs. Ida Moden of Plano, Iowa, Mrs. Deborah Lacey of Bevington, Iowa, Thomas and Emmett at home. Ten grandchildren, three brothers and one sister also remain to mourn her loss. They are; a brother William at Lawrence, Mass., James at Darrah, Pa., Thomas at Rockford, Ill., and a sister Mary Ann at Monongahela, Pa.
She departed this life March 13, 1926 at her home in Plano at the age of 57 years, 4 months, and 20 days. Mrs. Philby was of grand and noble character, an earnest and persistent worker in the Methodist Episcopal Church, a kind and loving neighbor, an example others would do well to follow.
Funeral services were held in the Plano M.E. Church for which she labored nobly and untiringly helped to build. Services were conducted by her former pastor, Rev. S. P. Trostle of Bloomfield, who was assisted by the Rebekah Lodge.
