Ronald Steven "Steve" Barker, 79, of Gibsonville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Alamance Regional Hospital. Steve was born July 21, 1943 in Rockingham County to the late Raymond Lee and Mary Belle Tucker Barker.

He enjoyed working in the yard and relaxing by the pool with his family. Steve retired from Engineer Plastics and attended St. Mark's Church. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will surely be missed by his family and friends. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family either at the beach or other family gatherings.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years; daughter and her husband; grandson; sister; three brothers; father-in-law; sisters and brothers-in-law; four nieces; two nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Ada Francis and John Lee Barker; and maternal grandfather, Claude Tucker.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 till 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
