Gregory "Greg" Gerald Millwood, age 58, of Wright Circle, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1964 in Cleveland County, to the late Grady Gerald Millwood and the late Shirley Towery Millwood.
Greg was a graduate of Cherryville High School, class of 1982. He received an associates degree in Electrical Engineering from Gaston College. He was also a licensed electrician. Greg was currently employed as a maintenance mechanic with Walmart Distribution of Shelby. He was an avid NC State athletics fan and loved NASCAR. He enjoyed striper fishing with his family and close friends, including Jason Black, Chris Heafner, and Kent Ballard. Greg loved his family, his pool, and his Coleman cooler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lisa Hartman Millwood; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Emily Millwood; daughter, Jessica Millwood (Logan Church); sister, Donna Millwood Jolley (Rick); nieces and nephews, Chase Jolley, Neely Jolley, Lauren Hartman, and Jacob Hartman; and his grandpups, Bristol, and Franklin.
His family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Randy Hefner officiating.
