Son of John Hogge & Jane E Miller. Moved to Holly Springs, Marshall, Mississippi. Joined the Confederate army in 1863 during the Civil War & became prisoner of war in 1865. Married Martha Jane Dillingham 15 Apr 1866 in Marshall County, Mississippi. Having several children & later moving to Ennis, Ellis, Texas during the time of Yellow fever in 1878 that ended up killing 2,000 of Holly Springs residents.
Thomas was a farmer.
