Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27 for Ruth Belle Buell, 90 of Route 2, Green Forest, AR, at the Nelson Chapel in Green Forest, with Rev. Robert English officiating. Interment was at the New Home Cemetery under direction of Nelson Funeral Home at Berryville, Arkansas.
Mrs. Buell was born March 21, 1884 at Cisco, AR daughter of Benjamin and Millie Fanning Shipman. She died April 22, 1974 at Harrison, Arkansas.
She was united in marriage to Albert D. Buell, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Jasper B. Buell of Rt. 2, Green Forest, Arkansas, Troy B. Buell of Springdale, Arkansas, and Arch C. Buell of Berryville, Arkansas; two daughters, Alberta Cloyes of Dallas, Texas, and Josephine Marrs of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one sister, Pearl Norris of Springfield, Missouri. She had seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Green Forest, Arkansas.
Ruth Belle Shipman was born in Cisco, Carroll Co., AR, and lived most of her life there. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Mildredge "Mellie" (Fanning) Shipman.
Ruthie Shipman was married to Albert Dunlevy Buell June 21, 1908 by Rev. Standley and they became the parents of five children:
