William was the father of Sarah (Sadie) Beatrice Handford Reed b: 1897- d: 1944. William was the grandfather of John William Reed b: 8/25/1925 d: 1/20/2009 on his mothers side and the great grandfather of William, John and Edward.
William was also the father of Matilda (Tique) b: 9/10/1894, Mary b: 1883 in England (deceased by age 7), John b: 2/1886 (deceased by age 4), William A. b: 5/16/1881 in England d: 8/1966., Charles Joseph b: 6/3/1882 in England d: 7/1963 in NJ., Henry b: 1884 in England., Elizabeth (b:1887-d: bef. 1900), female Handford (b: 1888- died young), and Mary b: 8/07/1890/91.
William H. married Mary Ann (Barnish) in 1880. After their marriage, they moved to Bond Street, Burslem, Staffordshire, England. They lived 44 homes down the street from William H.'s parents and siblings.
In 1886 they emigrated to the United States and lived at 140 Tremont St. and at 627 Cass St. Trenton, N.J. in 1911. William as well as his father were born in England and his mother was born in Ireland.
William H. was told that they would have to join the Church of England. This was not an option so they emigrated to the USA in 1884/6 from Staffordshire, England aboard the ship S.S Aurania.
William H.'s father married Kate in Ireland and then left Ireland due to work shortages. They moved to England.
