HARRY MILLER GARLOCK
Harry Miller Garlock, 88, died Saturday at a health care center in Bellevue, Nebraska. He was a former St. Joseph resident.
Born in Gibbs, Missouri, Mr. Garlock had been vice-president and traffic manager of the St. Joseph Stockyards Co., retiring in 1960 after 28 years of service. He moved to Bellevue after his retirement. He counted among his memberships the American Legion Post No. 11, St. Joseph, the St. Joseph Traffic Club, The King Hill Masonic Lodge No. 376, AF & AM, and the Hugh DePaynes Commandery No. 4, Knights Templar.
Additional memberships include Mitchell Chapter No. 14, Royal Arch Masons, the Moila Temple Shrine, and the High Twelve. He was also a WWI veteran and attended the First Church of Christian Scientist.
Surviving are his son, David Garlock of Bellevue, Nebraska; one sister, Willa Van Natta of Arkansas City, Kansas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
