THE TATE COUNTY DEMOCRAT 27 July 1961:

John William BOLING, 77, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. P. O'NEAL on July 26th. Services were held at Flag Lake Baptist Church with Rev Sam PARKS officiating, with burial in Singleton Springs Cemetery. He was born December 11, 1883 in McLure, Arkansas and married Beulah CAMPBELL HOWE of Sarah on 19 Aug 1906 who preceded him in death. He was a member of Flag Lake Baptist Church.

He leaves a son J. Clifton BOLING of Metairie LA, two step sons Felton HOWE of Savage and Johnny HOWE of Coldwater; two daughters, Mrs J. P. O'NEAL of Strayhorn and Mrs Willie I. CARLISLE of Sarah; a brother Ed BOLING of Sarah; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James RHODES, Harry CARLISLE, John Henry HOUSTON, Clarence CARLISLE, Doris HOWE and Joseph McPEAK.
