He married Larisa Anatolyevna Kozolova Dubrova (from Russia) on Dec. 8, 1999 in Topeka, Kansas. They later moved to Oregon in 2001. It was thought that he had adopted her son Nick by a previous marriage, not verified. Thought to be divorced from her about 2006.
He married Mai Thi Huynh on November 12, 2014. Rex had many publications, as well as the owner of several patents. After serving in the Air Force, he had a life-long passion for airplanes. He had participated in many bowling tournaments, as well as bowling on DuPont's team weekly.
He passed away at the Portland Adventist Hospital, Portland, Oregon; July 26, 2022; 2:05 AM. He died of an aortic aneurysm, genetic to the Bahr family.
He leaves behind his wife Mai; his children; Ann, Ron, Jason (all of Topeka, Kansas); two great-grandsons; one brother Wayne of Washington; and two sisters, Ruby Munkel of Utah and Phyllis Buzzelle of Texas; with many nieces and nephews as well.
Family/Friend visitation starts at 10 AM on Aug 10 at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Portland, Oregon. As a Disabled Veteran he will receive a Military honors funeral service at 1:30 PM on Aug 10 at the burial site, Willamette National Cemetery (VA Military Cemetery), Happy Valley, Oregon.

They were married at noon, Saturday, February 11, in Topeka, Kansas where the bridegroom is stationed at Forbes Air Force Base.
The bride is in nurses training in Topeka, where the young couple is making their home.
Mr and Mrs Ora Bahr reside in Lawndale, California, and are former residents of this community.
