Kenneth R. Flatt, 77, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Cookeville, Tennessee. Services will be held at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, Tennessee.
He was born January 17, 1946, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late
Benton M. Flatt and Cleo Way Flatt. On November 3, 1984, he was married to the late Greta Sue Flatt, who passed away April 28, 2021. He was a senior field representative and adjuster for several insurance companies, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He grew up in the Union Hill community of Jackson County, Tennessee, and worked as a deputy at the Putnam County Sheriff's office in the 1970s. He was also a member of the Putnam County Rescue Squad and Volunteer Fire Department in the 1970s.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Leamon Flatt, Don Flatt, and Dowell Flatt.Survivors include his Children: Sherri (Jason) Yealey of Virginia, Lee M. (Marcie) Flatt, Casey (Linette) Flatt, Dwayne (Jen) Whitson, and Marcia (Bobby) Romines all of Tennessee; 1 Brother: Bill (Louise) Flatt of Tennessee; 3 Sisters: Rose Fox of Georgia, Linda (Jimmy) Anderson of Tennessee, and Wanda (Joey) Crabtree of Tennessee; 1 Sister-in-Law: Della Flatt of Tennessee; 12 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives, also survive.Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
