BASKETTE, Mildred Elizabeth Age 91 years of Nashville, passed from this life Monday, January 28, 2008. She descended from some of the first families of Virginia and Tennessee. She was a long time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the National Society of the Magna Charter Dames, and a member of the Daughters of the King, and St. George's Episcopal Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Baskette, Jr. and Sara Norman Baskette; sister, Sara Baskette McCord. She is survived by her brothers, Robert Norman Baskette and Roger DuVal Baskette; nieces, Roberta Baskette Bradley, Rene Baskette Batson and Marsha Baskette of Nashville, Pam Baskette Caples of Atlanta and Lynne McCord McCann of Connecticut; two nephews, Roger DuVal Baskette, Jr. and Jerry Louis McCord of Nashville; 11 great nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 2 p.m., from the historic Mount Olivet Cemetery.
