Born in Norfolk, VA, he joined the United States Air Force in 1951 serving his country for over 26 years with assignments in the U.S., Korea, Vietnam and England earning a variety of commendations including the Bronze Star and the Florida Distinguished Service Medal. After retiring from military service, he continued to serve his community as a High School teacher in Cheyenne, Wyoming for 2 years and then 22 years at Rutherford High School in Panama City, FL.
Ken Galloway is proceeded in death by his wife of 65 years, Edna Galloway, and his mother, Rosamond Riggins Callis and his adoptive parents Gene and Elsie Galloway. He is survived by his brother Lloyd "Skip" Callis, daughter Debra Calverley, and sons David and William Galloway. Also, his grandchildren Christina and husband Scott Smith, Alicia Galloway, Brandon Galloway and wife Joselin, Forrest Galloway and Ethan Galloway. As well as seven great grand children.
Ken was a member of the American Legion post 0356, Parker, FL and the VFW post 8205, Parker, FL. He loved dogs and cared for many German Shepherds in his life with Shelby being the last. Genealogy, photography, fishing, power boating and maintenance of his yard and pool occupied his time after retirement.
