He married Elizabeth Link 1779 and they had 2 sons: Jacob 1779 and David 1782. Family tradition has passed through the centuries that he served 7 years in Revolutionary War, returning 1782 only to die soon thereafter. No record of this has been found.
His widow remarried soon thereafter to Dietrich/Teter Kesling and they had 10 children. Just before 1800 the family (including the Fudge brothers) came to the newly opened Northwest Territory (Warren Co Ohio).
When the Fudge brothers were of age and received their inheritance from their grandfather
Hans Fudge, they moved on to Preble Co OH where they pioneered and raised large families.
