Albert A. Durand, age 77 of Commerce Twp., MI passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021. He was born on December 21, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Albert and Evelyn Durand. He was the beloved husband of Ruth for over 53 years; loving father of Albert M. Durand, Bryan T. (Megan) Durand and the late Mark J. Durand; proud grandfather of Parker (Danie Porath) Durand, Madeline, Mackenzie and Ethan Durand. Step-grandfather of Danielle and Kyle Brown. Brother of Ruthann DePonio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and eight sisters.

Albert was a proud Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the North Channel Yacht Club. He enjoyed boating and spending time on the lake. Al was a retired pipe fitter. He owned and operated A.C. Couts for over 40 years.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Rd., White Lake, MI 48386. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Fr. Thomas Meagher will officiate. Interment will be in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the auspices of the United States Air Force. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Memorial Program, P.O.
