Alan Roy Toothman, 77, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2022 following a short illness.
He was born January 28, 1945 to Sherwin and Lillie (Fetty) Toothman. Alan was a retired coal miner, who enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 14 years, Gladys (Thompson) Toothman of Charleston; daughters, Christal Hancock (companion, Stan Stillwell) of Stephens City, Virginia, Deborah Scott of Belaire, Ohio and Tina Toothman of McMechen, West Virginia; sons, Damian, Andrew and Logan Hancock, Ralph (Ruby) Hancock all of Charleston and Jeffrey (Patty) Toothman of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Carol (Tom) Booth and Lorene (Steve) Taylor; brothers, Sherwin (Janie) Toothman, Richard (Barbara) Toothman, Dennis (Vickie) Toothman; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022, at Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with Pastor James Bowe officiating. Interment will follow in Cline Hollow Cemetery, Campbells Creek. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Monday.
