Irene Harvey Kendall, age 101, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 in Franklin.

She is a resident of the Franklin United Methodist Community. She was a former resident of Carmel, Indiana.

She was born on October 17, 1911 in Westfield, Indiana to Arland and Etta (Laudig) Harvey.

She married Marcus E. Kendall on January 1, 1979. He preceded her in passing on November 24, 1992.

Survivors include step-daughter, Maxine Featherston of Angola, Indiana; step-daughter, Eileen Kitchens of Carmel, Indiana; nieces, Donna Evans and Dorcas Henry; nephew, Donald Harvey; seven step-grandchildren, and fifteen step-great- grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, Marcus and brother, Warren Harvey.

She was a graduate of Carmel High School and Indiana Business College. Irene was employed by Foster-Kendall Company for thirty-five years as a Secretary and Bookkeeper and later employed by Indiana Mills which was then located in Carmel, Indiana. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church; the Priscilla Circle and the Fine Arts Group of Johnson County.

Rev. John Eley will conduct a service on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Franklin United Methodist Community, Wright Chapel, 1070 West Jefferson Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131. Friends may call on Monday, June 24th from 12:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Wright Chapel. Burial will be at Carmel Cemetery in Carmel on Monday, June 24th at 3:30 p.m. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is handling arrangements
