Sgt. Major James Ronald Buzzo (retired) of Richmond, Virginia passed away on June 27, 2019 at Johnston-Willis Hospital. He was born February 15, 1941, in Bluefield, West Virginia, the eldest son of Nicola (Nick) and Frances Buzzo.
Ron was a dedicated 30-year United States Army Reservist, an avid collector and a loving husband and father. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Serena Jo Farmer Buzzo; his daughter, Yvette Nicole Buzzo Glenn and her husband, David, and his two granddaughters, Olivia and Lucy, of New Providence, New Jersey. He is also survived by his two brothers, Robert Buzzo and his wife, Cathy, of Bluefield, Virginia and Lawrence Buzzo and his wife, Sharon, of Peterstown, West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Ethan Alexander Glenn, and his sister, Donna Marie Buzzo White.
A remembrance and celebration will be held in the fall in Ron's hometown of Bluefield, West Virginia.
