Marjorie E. Barta, age 88, longtime Two Rivers resident, peacefully entered eternal life early Monday, August 15, 2022. Marjorie was born July 16, 1934 in London, England to William and Mary Tate. She married Donald J. Hedman in 1952, in England and later was married to Jim Barta in 1986. Marjorie was employed with Paragon Electric for many years until her retirement. She loved to shop, play Bingo, and camp with family up North. In her younger days, she also enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Survivors include her three sons: Mike (Karen) Hedman of Manitowoc, Dave (Connie) Hedman of Mountain, and Lee (Kristy) Hedman of Two Rivers; seven grandchildren: Kay (Jason) Zimmer, Joshua McDonell & fiancee, Brooke LeClair and her son, Blake; Cody Gilbert (special friend, McKenzie), Anna Handl, Rachel Hedman, Krystal Hedman, and John Hedman. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Tate; husband, Jim Barta; one daughter & son-in-law, Teresa (Donny) Gilbert; three sisters, and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Rev. David Arndt will preside at the memorial service, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.dejamartin.com.
