Born on May 2, 1935, in Honolulu, Hawai'i, Blanche was a graduate of St. Francis High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Woodbury College in California. Blanche spent the majority of her career as an artist, whether it was working as the only woman of five as a commercial artist for The Honolulu Advertiser or as a freelance artist painting portraits, designing prints for fabrics, or creating advertisements for other companies.

She is survived by her daughter, Jerri Ann (Arnold) Lum, 4 grandchildren, Blaine Lum, Jasmine Lum, Jerrica (Tyson) Cremer, and Jarissa Lum (Ernest Milligan III), 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Eleanor Minatoishi and family, Mitsuko Kelly and family, and Diana (Tom) Uechi and family.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Hawaiian Memorial Park, Kaneohe. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM with service to follow at 10:30 AM. Committal Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Masks required.
