Susan died 3 months after the birth of her daughter, Sallie Kirkpatrick Cooper (1833-1914). Sallie later married William Thomas Hughes (1831-1874) of Fayette County.
John Houghton Cooper remarried 2nd Judah Carroll, and 3rd Margaret Haggin, and had five more children.
He is buried beside Margaret H Cooper, Lexington Cemetery Section: J, Lot:122, W1/2
