Ralph Levi Alger, aged 67, died unexpectedly April 13, 1950, of a heart aliment for which he had been under treatment for sometime. He was found dead in bed.
The son of Levi and Maria Knowles Alger, he was born in Edmeston July 11, 1882. On May 15, 1901 he married Nellie Alger. He had been a local agent for the Unadilla Valley Railroad for many years.
He leaves his wife, a sister, Mrs. Cara Campbell, two nephews and a niece.
Funeral services were held Sunday with burial in Hartwick Cemetery.
