Katie was born in Floyd County, Georgia on October 24, 1946, daughter of the late M.J. Bannister and the late Helen Earline McDaniel Bannister. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Donald "Jimmy Don" LeCroy, along with 4 siblings.
Katie was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked as a supervisor at Cornett Textile Mill for 20 years. Katie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family, and she will be missed by all.
Survivors include her daughter; her son; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchilden; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.
