Chelan – James C. Davis, 68, a retired carpenter of this area, died Saturday in the hospital here.
He was born Dec. 23, 1898, at St. Paul, Ark., and married Nancy Ann Gabbard there Mar. 8, 1918. They came to Chelan in 1944 and he worked until he retired last year.
Surviving are his widow; one son, Henry L. Davis, Chelan; his brothers and sisters, Nancy Bushman, Wenatchee, Hugh and Fred Davis, Ida Gabbard and Jewell Hudson, all in Arkansas, Oma Thomas and Maggie Roseberry, in California; and two grandchildren.
