IN MEMORIAM:
Alabama Courier, January 24, 1946. In memory of our son, William Basil Bowers, BoM S-c, who passed away at Bermuda Island, January 25, 1945.
Gone is the face we loved so dear,
Silent the voice we loved to hear,
Tis sad but true we wonder why
So sudenly you had to die.
The blow was hard,
The shock severe,
We little thought you death was near.
Only those who have lost can tell
The pain of this parting without your farewell smiles.
Your vacant place in our home can never be filled,
Your loving smiles still seen to be there.
His mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Bowers
