Henry J. "Hank" Sorgler, 82, died Saturday at home.

Born in Washington D.C, he had resided in the Ewing area for many years. Henry was a retired machinist for the TransAmerica DeLaval Inc. in Trenton. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II where he was a waist gunner on B-24's. Henry was an officer of the New Jersey Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, and a member of the American Legion post 458, VFW post 7298 and Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in W. Trenton. Henry enjoyed RV camping, hunting, fishing and making new friends wherever he traveled.

Son of the late Henry E. and Hannah Catherine Straub Sorgler, husband of the late Dolores Deren Sorgler, who died in 1981, and brother of the late William Ubry and Gloria South, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Laura Sorgler of W. Trenton; two daughters, Diana Sorgler of W. Trenton and Nancy Doyle of Tampa FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Lyn Ubry of Lawrenceville; a sister, Catherine Wisbeski of S. Bound Brook; a sister-in-law, Janice Ubry of Pennington; four grandchildren, Krista Luckenbach, Michael and Heather Doyle, and Katherine Sorgler; and many nieces and nephews.
