Harry Harris McAnally, 94, born August 12, 1928 in Los Angeles California slipped through the veil into heaven August 23, 2022 to a glorious reunion with his wife and family.

Harry was the youngest of four children to Walton and Mittie McAnally. He lived in Los Angeles and the surrounding area until he was 16, at which time he moved to Roy New Mexico to live with his aunt, uncle and cousins. Harry graduated from Roy High School in 1946.

On September 11th of that year, Harry joined the Army with his cousin David Kidd and became a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He served and trained at Fort McClellan, AL; Fort Bragg, NC; Fort Benning, GA; and spent time in Watertown, New York performing winter maneuvers as part of the Airborne. He was honorably discharged from service on February 20, 1948 at Governors Island, New York. He was very proud to have served his country as a paratrooper and always lived the motto "All the Way!"

Harry married Elsie Steiner on August 20, 1949 and were blessed with three children, Christene, Deanna and Ronald. They lived in Manteca, CA where they raised their kids near Elsie's parents. Harry built the house they lived in on Airport Way.

On June 26, 1970 Harry married Claudia Ivie and they made their home in Tracy, CA. Harry helped raise Claudia's son Leonard and they had another son together named Timothy. Harry and Claudia had quite the adventurous life together. After retiring from 30 years of service as a branch chief in government employment Harry took a job as director of materials in Zaire Africa and then Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. During this time Harry and Claudia were able to travel all over the world. They went on a safari in Kenya, roamed the tombs of Egypt, swam in the waters off the coast of Greece, relished the beauty of Norway all while enjoying the love they shared. At the age of 54 Harry and Claudia decided to retire and move back to their house in Tracy. In 1994 they decided it was time for a move to Sparks, NV and they lived there until Claudia's death in 2011, at which time Harry moved to Sandy, UT to be closer to his son Tim.

Harry is proceeded in death by his parents, siblings Florene Porterfield, D.W. Laughter, J.W. McAnally, his lovely wife Claudia, son Ronald, and grandson Daniel. He is survived by his daughters Christene (Les), Deanna (Paul), Leonard (Lori) and Tim (Melinda), eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Harry will always be remembered for his love of life and family, but greatest of all, his ability to be a true friend.
