Lavon Louise Williams was born on December 15, 1961 to Lula Mae Williams and Herman Powell in Marianna, AR.

Lavon received her education from Central High School. She later moved to Saginaw, Michigan where she worked for Burlington Coat Factory. Her co-workers and customers loved when Ms. Lavon was at work because she kept a smile on their faces. Lavon loved shopping and going to garage sales. She later moved back to West Helena from Michigan to be closer to her family.

Lavon is preceded in death by her father, Herman Powell, grandson, Derrius Cooper, sister, Christine "Tina" Angel, cousin, Billy Williams, grandmother, Janie Williams, and an aunt Bereatha Williams.

Lavon transitioned to her final resting place on July 4, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee surrounded by her family.



Lavon is survived by her two children, Tarrance Williams of Nashville, TN and Laportsher Ewing(Derrian Cooper) of Wyoming, MI, her mother, Lula Mae Bailey of West Helena, AR, three grandchildren; Alexis Ewing, Condoleeza Williams and Tarrance Williams, Jr., two sisters; Marilyn(Roosevelt)Smith of Pearland, TX, Amanda Williams of West Helena, AR, two brothers; Nathaniel(Melissa)Bailey, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Ron(Jacque)Bailey of Atlanta, GA, an uncle, Elgie(Willie)Williams of West Helena, AR, two aunts; Zemolia Williams of Little Rock, AR and Ella Terry of Texas, a special friend, Lazaree Williams of Saginaw, MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
