She married A.B Fairfax at her parents' home in Vansville, Prince George's County, on 10 November 1832. They had five known children, including two daughters who died in childhood.
Of their three sons, all joined the Confederacy -- as did their father -- at the outset of the Civil War. Eugene, the oldest, was killed at the battle of Williamsburg on 5 May 1862; Julian died of consumption on 23 January 1875 in Frederick, Maryland, where he was enrolled at the Jesuit Novitiate school; Carlyle, the only one who married, died in Baltimore, and is listed here.
