A celebration of the life of Robert Joe "Bob" Beisch, 75, of Gilmer, will be at noon Monday, February 4, 2008, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home at 1617 Judson Road in Longview, with Dr. Keith Rothra and Mitchell Billingsley officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery.

Mr. Beisch was born December 11, 1932, at Seven Pines, to Willie and Viness Beisch. He passed away on Thursday morning, January 31, 2008, at a local medical center.

Robert was of the Christian faith and had worked as a supervisor for the Stroh Brewery in Longview. He was also a member of the Pine Tree Masonic Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason and served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea.

Mr. Beisch is survived by his wife of 47 years, Edith Ann Wilson Beisch of Gilmer; daughter, Rhonda Pope of Gilmer; son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Nicole Beisch of Longview; granddaughter, Raven Beisch of Longview; sisters, Mary Ann Mauldin of Linden, and Betty Hair of Longview; brothers, William George Beisch of Gilmer, John Allen Beisch and wife, Joann of Texarkana, Ark., and Donald Lee Beisch of Sarepta, La.; sister-in-law, Sybil Ellen Wilson of East Mountain; 16 nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives.
