January 17, 1941 - August 24, 2022 Linda Arden Green, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Gig Harbor, WA surrounded by her loved ones. Linda was born in Lexington, KY to Robert and Alberta Lee Marks. She graduated from LaFayette High School in Lexington and attended the University of Kentucky before moving to Southern California in 1962. Linda is survived by her sons, Tom Green (Stacey) of Brea, CA and Bill Green (Michele) of Gig Harbor, WA. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Melinda Lipinski in 2008. Linda leaves her family a legacy of love and devotion. She especially loved her 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, who were her joy and the light of her life. Linda was full of wit and charm, a gifted storyteller who also loved to entertain and throw parties. She'll be remembered by all who knew her for her sense of humor, her love for family, and for being a loyal friend. Linda was a gifted designer, loved antique furniture, and had a passion for old items with sentimental value. She was co-owner of Lyn-Roe Interior Design Company in the 1970's and 1980's. She later returned to school attending both the University of Arizona and University of LaVerne earning an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters of Gerontology. She had a passion for elder care which led her to become an Ombudsman while living in Beaumont, CA. Linda retired to Gig Harbor near her son Bill Green and his family in 2014. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Linda will be interred beside her parents in Green Valley, AZ in a private service.
