Timothy Richard Cuddihy,17, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center after a courageous battle with cystic fibrosis.
He was the son of Janet (Cuddihy) Holton and Richard J. Cuddihy Jr. and resided on Home Street in Hoosick Falls.
Born January 17, 1984, in Albany. Tim graduated from the eighth grade at St. Mary's Academy and was a junior at Hoosick Falls Central School. He enjoyed sports, movies and videogames and was an accomplished artist. Tim was also very active with fund-raising for cystic fibrosis, he and his family and friends formed "Team Cuddihy" to help raise money at the Cystic Fibrosis Walk in Saratoga. They were also active at the Twin Towers Stair Climb in Albany, also a fund-raiser for cystic fibrosis.
Survivors other than his mother, Janet of 40 Applegate Drive, Bennington, Vt. who works at Price Chopper; father Richard J. Jr., of Hoosick Falls; a sister Amy R. Cuddihy of Hoosick Falls; his paternal grandparents Virginia and Richard J. Cuddihy Sr. of East Hoosick; maternal grandparents Ronald J. Unser Sr. of Florida and the late Shirley (Girvin) Unser; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, June 15, at 1:30 p.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church, Main Street, Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.
Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. on Thursday, 4-8 p m.
