My grandfather, Joseph Ross, was born and raised in Dedham, MA., the son of Joseph J. & Catherine (Lally) Ross. He was the grandson of Bernard & Mary Ann (Roleman) Ross, who immigrated to the U.S. from Germany in 1846. On May 1, 1901 he married Catherine G. Connell, of Hyde Park, MA. They had four children.
