She was the daughter of Michael Valentine Brunner and Anna M. (Heinz) Brunner. She married Roger C. Ackley on Feb. 10, 1948, in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2003.
Surviving are one daughter, Trudy (Tom) Szerencse; three granddaughters, Toni (Troy) Stinson, Tami Szerencse and Tracy Szerencse; and one sister, Merna Teeple.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Terry; and several brothers and sisters.
She worked as a secretary, last working for Foster-Gallagher Company in Peoria.
