James Stephen O'Toole, of Burlington, Wisconsin, passed away on July 30, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Jim was born on December 30, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Francis and Sadie O'Toole.

After being raised in Chicago with his 4 brothers, he attended Loyola University. Jim graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1961.

James wed his beloved wife Kathryn Laura Seratt, also from Chicago, on January 23, 1960.

After college, Jim was a comptroller for Admiral Corporation and then Vice President of Finance for Henry Pratt Company in Aurora, IL. In 1978, Jim and Kathy left the Chicago area for the small town of Eagle River, WI, where they resided until 2020. From 1978 until 2001, they owned and operated the Liquor Spot, later renamed O'Toole's Liquor Spot, in the Vilas Village Mall. During their time in Eagle River they made countless numbers of dear friends and embraced the small town lifestyle. In September of 2020, Jim and Kathy relocated to Burlington, Wisconsin to reside with their daughter, Laura, and her family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Sadie O'Toole; his wife, Kathy O'Toole in December, 2021; and his brother John (Jack) O'Toole.

Jim is survived by his son, James J. O'Toole of Minneapolis, MN; his daughter Laura (Jeff) Cichocki and grandson Eric Cichocki, all of Burlington, WI; his brothers Robert (Bebe) O'Toole of Bonita Springs, FL; Thomas (Elaine) O'Toole of Lombard, IL; and Joseph (Bernice) O'Toole of Naperville, IL; along with many dear nieces and nephews across the country.

Visitation will be held at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish on Monday, August 8th from 10:00-12 noon, with funeral mass to follow at 12 noon. Burial will take place at St. Peter Cemetery following the mass.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Park Place—Memory Care and St Croix Hospice for all of the care and kindness shown to our dad these last 7 months. We find comfort in knowing he is reunited with Kathy.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
