George Jasper Benge was the son of William Joseph & Maggie Francis (Dixon) Benge. He was raised in the Stockard Community and Eustace, Texas. Because of his blue eyes, most people called him "Blue" or "Boy Blue". He married Leta Belle Calicutt on October 5, 1946. Through the years they lived and worked in the Cottonwood Community, Stockard Community, Pickens Spur Community and in Eustace (all in Henderson County, TX). Blue was in the produce business most of his adult life. He hauled fruits and vegetables to and from local produce markets. He and Leta had a produce stand in the Stockard Community on Hwy. 175. Blue and Leta had a daughter, Vickie Jo, that was born on June 14, 1954.
