Steven Benson Miner, 69, of Robinson, IL, died on September 4, 2022, at Robinson Rehab Nursing in Robinson, IL.

Steven was born on February 22, 1953, in Scottsburg, IN, the son of Lester & Grace (Collin) Miner, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Becky Reeder on March 2, 1976, and she passed away on January 11, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Barb Reeder.

Steve grew up in Scottsburg, IN, and became a caregiver for his mother at a young age. His ability to care for his mother made him interested in joining the healthcare field and this was what led him to become a respiratory therapist. He would then work for Good Samaritan Hospital for over 30 years. Steve and his wife Becky spent many years working in the health field. After the passing of his wife Becky, he found love again and married Judy Hyre on May 6, 2011. Steve and Judy would also have a bond from the healthcare field, but they also loved to travel together.

Many people could say he was known for being a little long-winded. He spent countless hours operating his Ham Radio, reaching several folks. He also found great enjoyment in playing solitaire on the computer.

Steve will be remembered as a quiet, kind, gentle soul who will be greatly missed by his family.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.
