Kerry James Adams was born on November 6, 1970, to John and Marie (Kainer) Adams in Aberdeen, SD. He attended C.C. Lee, the Seventh-day Adventist Church School, and Dakota Adventist Academy, graduating in 1989. After graduation he worked with his father for Nitro-Green before starting at the Aberdeen American News as a press operator for the next 25+ years.
Music was important to Kerry. He was a member of a rock and roll band where he played bass guitar and lead vocals. He also played saxophone. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his twin brother Kevin. Kerry was quite the handy man and enjoyed tinkering with wood and electrical projects. He was a caring person with a kind gentle soul.
Grateful for having shared Kerry's life are his parents, John and Marie Adams; sisters, Heidi (Barry) Hehn and Holli (Kevin) Devnich; twin brother, Kevin Adams; and nieces: Amanda Devnich, Isabelle Devnich, Emersyn Devnich and Maggie Adams; nephew, James Adams; and many uncles, aunts and cousins who loved him.
Preceding Kerry in death are his grandparents: Fred and Martha Adams and Adam and Magdalena Kainer.
