Jane Reid and her parents James Reid and Margaret Crichton, and siblings, lived in Fossoway and Tullibole, Kinross, Scotland until about 1857. They then enigrated to Ontario.

Margaret Crichton's father Peter Crichton (202097839) was the Head Gardener and Overseer for the Lord of the Manor at Tullibole Castle - Sir James Wellwood Moncrief.
Peter is buried in Saint Serfs Churchyard, Crook of Devon, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. I visited there in June 2018.

Jane Reid's older sister Marion Alma Minnie Reid married Robert Abbott.
As their parents, James Reid and Margaret Crichton, as well as Marion Alma Minnie Reid and Robert Abbott are buried in a private cemetery near Northbrook, Ontario, they cannot be linked back in time. Nor can any of the siblings.
It is far back in the bush and not really accessible to the average vehicle.

Thus: I left a lot of info on the descent of James Reid-Margaret Crichton, at the Memorial page of Catherine Carscallon Abbott-Ruttan (ID 238448650).
Catherine is a daughter of Marion Reid married Robert Abbott. You can see pics of some of them as well that I have attached.
