Ms Voncille Elizabeth Neese
March 19, 1933 - September 6, 2022

On September 6, 2022, Voncille Elizabeth Moore Neese saw the splendor of heaven and the face of her Heavenly Father. Voncille was born on March 19, 1933, to Otis Moore and Hattie Barfoot Moore. At 16 years of age, Voncille accepted Christ as her Savior.

Voncille has been an active member of the Carthage Church of Christ for over 55 years
Voncille was married to Jerry T. D. Neese for almost 50 years and had two children. Penny Neese Rogers (Dale) and Barry Ken Neese who passed away at 9 years of age in 1975.

Voncille loved her role as housewife, mother, gardener, master knitter and wonderful cook. Her love language was service such as baking a cake for friends or family.

Voncille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry and her precious son, Barry Ken. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Neese Rogers (Dale), two granddaughters- Lori Leigh Wilcher (Jimmy) of Union, MS and Lana Lorraine Pennington (Jack) of Moulton, Alabama. She was blessed to have 8 very active grandchildren- Alex Wilcher, Bo Wilcher, Grant Wilcher, Ashton Wilcher, Ella Elizabeth Wilcher, London Lorraine Wilcher, Jack Bradford Pennington, III and Ethan Pennington.

Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The celebration of life will be conducted by Bro. Eddie Neal, Bro. Glenn Beall, Bro. Dale Rogers, and Elder Hilton Moore. Pall Bearers are Bo Wilcher, Grant Wilcher, Jack Pennington, Donnie J. Malone, Tim Moore, and Dale Withers. Honorary pall bearers are Greg Malone, Jimmy Wilcher, Shane Moore, David Howell, Bobby Clark, Carl Sanders, Harley Hollingsworth, and Ryan Renfrow.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 5-8 pm with Friday visitation from 9-11 am and the celebration of life service in the Wilcox Chapel at 11:00 am with interment to follow in the City Cemetery in Carthage, MS.
