Originally from Oakland, CA., the Kennedy family of 2 boys and three girls, fireman-dad, mom and their dog, Pogo, moved to San Leandro, CA. This put the kids in San Leandro Schools in 1963. Pat graduated and went to Santa Cruz to attend UC. Soon thereafter, he moved to San Francisco and to other places including New York City, Buenos Aires, and Miami where he had many creative and social endeavors.

These are Pat's accomplishments, in his own words:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I co-founded Ink, Inc. in New York City. We produced limited edition artists' books, including those for Patti Smith, Robert Mapplethorpe and Roz Chast. Within a few years Ink, Inc. expanded to include designing and producing catalogues, catalogue raisonnes and books for the Whitney Museum, the Amon Carter Museum, Time Warner, Princeton University and numerous
galleries.

My paintings became more 3-dimensional, and after showings in San Francisco and Los Angeles, I designed stage and film sets, including those for Lena Horne, LaMama, Robert Altman and Merchant Ivory. I also hosted a notorious TV show in South Beach roasting local politicians and odd local celebrities.

I designed showrooms for Yves Saint Laurent, Joe Boxer, Jansport, Jockey and Kenneth Cole, which led to designing and renovating over fifty hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, spas, animal hospitals, murals, residences and events in NYC, Washington D.C, Miami Beach, the Bahamas, Italy and Buenos Aires.

I give thanks to my team members who took the chance joining forces with me to bring play and innovation to so many projects.

Awards and citations include those from the A.I.A, A.D.A, A.I.G.A and
many design and historic preservation societies.

I am currently painting and writing in Northern California."

He made a statement about his life in 2019 while in failing health at the time. He sent this to a few close friends to let them know how he felt about his impending death:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well kids,

For some time now my health has been slipping fast, and doctors now say stomach and brain have little chance of recover.

But after that near fatal accident when I was 19 and given a second life, I figure I've had 50 years of a joyful free ride.

Know that I've loved each of you, and your returned friendship and love has filled my heart many times to bursting.

So I'm off into the galaxies soon.

We'll meet up again somewhere somehow - it seems to be like that ....
I'll be carrying a part of you wherever I may be.

With many many thanks and much much love,

Patrick"

Patrick was a lovely soul. He passed away at home after an illness, surrounded by family. He missed his 73rd birthday by 3 weeks.
