Barbara Ann Camden (nee Sadler), slipped peacefully into eternal life on September 2, 2022.

Barbara was 86, and the beloved wife of the late Paul (Pete) Camden, Jr. for 65 years. She was the loving mother of Donna (Mike) Haeuser, Paul (the late Mary) Camden Sr., Lynda DuPuy (Rick), Mark (Cathy) Camden, Jayn (Rick) Wilhelm, Laura Camden, Lisa (Aaron) Westveer, John (Deena) Camden, and Jim (Jenny) Camden, and the dear grandmother of 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Barbara was born to the late Clifford and Hilda Sadler, on August 5, 1936, in Ft. Atkinson, WI. She is preceded in death by her siblings, George (Marge) Sadler, Marie (Bob) Birmingham, and Isabelle (Raul) Pellerin.

Her family relocated to the Milwaukee area in 1945. She attended St. Lawrence Grade School, where her father was the custodian. She graduated in 1955 from Pius XI High School, where her children and her granddaughter also attended.

When Barbara's brother-in-law, the late Raul Pellerin, came home on leave from the Airforce, he brought a handsome young Airman home with him. That young Airman took one look at Barbara, and the rest, as they say, was history! Barbara and Pete married on September 17, 1955, staying in Milwaukee, where they raised their 9 children.

Barbara and Pete were life-long members of Corpus Christi Parish (now Blessed Savior), where they regularly volunteered for parish and school activities and where all 9 of their kids attended the school. Many cherished friends were made there throughout the years.

Barbara was very creative, had a huge garden, canned, sewed, could fix just about anything, and taught important life long lessons to her kids. Her grandchildren loved to come and spend summer days running through the old neighborhood and visiting Gramma and Grampa.

Barbara's children and grandchildren brought her such great joy in life! She loved raising her family in her little house nestled in between Vogel Park and Corpus Christi School. She enjoyed watching the birds, and listening to them sing (it was Pete's job to keep the birdfeeder filled). She also loved the beauty of her flower gardens, the trees, and butterflies. Barbara and Pete often sat on the bench on their front porch enjoying nature and waving to their neighbors.

Her children would like to extend a special thank you to Horizon and Kathy Hospice. The Horizon Team took such kind, loving, and compassionate care of Mom, and it is greatly appreciated!

Visitation Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Blessed Savior Catholic Church, 8545 West Villard Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon. Interment Sunnyside Cemetery, 19011 West Main Street, Lannon, Wisconsin following Mass.
