He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Broadrick Allen; daughter, Tammie (Ron) McClendon; son, Ray (Jodi) Allen; grandchildren, Chuck (Amelia) Thiers and Nick (Ashley) Thiers; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 15, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastors John Paul Marlow and Dean Skipper officiating.
Interment at Rock Spring Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chuck Thiers, Nick Thiers, Ray Allen, Keith Vick, Chris Yeager, and Joe Jowers.
