Charles Rufus Moore, died Tuesday, Oct. 13., at his ranch in the Boyd District, age 77 years and 6 months.
Chas. R. Moore was born in Ohio, April 10, 1854. Departed this life Oct. 1931. In the year 1880 he was married to Martha Deeter of Indiana, and to this union 5 children were born, two having preceded him in death while quite young. He was a pioneer of Washington, when yet a young man locating at Sumas. He did a great deal of contract work in Seattle and the surrounding country. Mrs. Moore, his first wife died in May 1915. In 1920 he married Mrs. Farley. They came to Chelan in June to lived with his son, Ernest. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow, two sons, Ernest of Chelan and Paul of Hoquiam, also one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Hamilton of Broadbent, Oregon, besides the relatives and many friends.
