American Rapper, Singer and Songwriter. While incarcerated in 2014, he released his debut mixtape "RnB", and a year later signed a record deal with Atlantic Records. His second retail mixtape album, GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions debuted at number 28 on the US Billboard 200 chart. His first project with Atlantic was his third mixtape titled "RnB3". In April 2017, Rakim participated in the soundtrack of "The Fate of the Furious" with two singles: "Gang Up" with nba youngboy Young Thug, 2 Chainz, and Wiz Khalifa; and "Horses" with Kodak Black and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. He released two studio albums, Catch These Vibes (2017), and TrapStar Turnt PopStar (2019) which peaked within the top five on the Billboard 200 chart. He was best known for his single "Selfish" which peaked at number 51 on the US Billboard Hot 100. He was also known for his feature on the song "Cross Me" by Ed Sheeran, and Chance the Rapper. Rakim featured two late rappers in his music. Pop Smoke was featured on the track titled "Ordinary" in 2020; and King Von in a song called "Rose Gold". He released a new mixed tape featuring various artists including Yung Fazo, Pasto Flocco, TennisboyWiLL, and IAYZE, called SoundCloud Daze in 2022. His last single "Luv Me Again" was independently released September 2, 2022.
