Paul Floyd Councilman, Sr. age 78 of Asheville, NC passed away January 31, 2022. He was born in Tacoma, WA on November 11, 1943 to the late Floyd Henry and Caroline Elizabeth Haversen Councilman.

Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Paul served his country honorably for 20 years as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and golfing in his later years.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Elizabeth Councilman; daughters, Deborah Bauserman, Lori Councilman, and Erica Radford; son, Paul Councilman, Jr; step son, Joe Tounzen; step daughters, Rona Johnson, Jo Thomas, and Wendy Lovin; brother, Charles Councilman; sisters, Donna Hood and Thelma Clark; twenty grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren.

Family will have memorial services on February 25, 2022 at the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery where Paul will be laid to rest.

Memorial services will be officiated by The Rev. Sean McCann.
