Born in Colombia, South America, he was the son of the late Enrique Acosta and Maria de la Pava.
Mr. Acosta was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for the past 44 years. He was skilled in a number of trades, loved fishing, working in the yard, gardening, and listening to music that dates back to the early part of the 20th Century.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolina Acosta; sons, Deacon Nestor Acosta (Vickie), Javier Acosta (Marie), Pedro Acosta (Sharon), and Enrique Acosta (Shelley); daughters, Olga Quiroz (Edgar), Maria Henao (Carlos), and Ines Acosta; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brothers, Enrique, William, Ferdy, and Juan Pablo Acosta; sisters, Romelia Barrientos, Berenice Ospina, Aidalith Acevedo, and Marleny Guitierrez.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ester Dominguez, Magdalena Gomez; and a brother, Guillermo Acosta.
Burial in Graceland East Memorial Park.
